S/Y Slypuss

L.O.A. 44' - Guests 2 - Crew 2

SLYPUSS is a traditional yacht enhanced by a modern concept pilot house. A powerful 46-foot sailing ketch, she was designed by Ian Anderson as a comfortable World Cruising Yacht and built in the UK to Lloyds 100 A1 specification.

Each cabin is teak lined, well equipped, and well ventilated. The light and airy saloon has panoramic visibility, a raised dining area to starboard, and navigation area with second steering position to port.

The aft guest cabin has a double bed, sofa, wardrobe, and dressing table with plenty of storage. There is an opening hatch with blind, an opening portlight, and excellent natural and electric lighting. The en-suite bathroom has a separate shower cubicle, toilet, and washbasin with hot and cold pressurised water. All towels are provided.

The forward starboard guest cabin has twin upper and lower berths and, once again, is well lit and ventilated. There is a wardrobe and dressing table plus plenty of storage. The second bathroom has a shower, toilet, and washbasin. The crew cabin is forward and the well equipped galley is to port.

There is good headroom throughout, air conditioning, and a CD player. The bar is always fully stocked. Breakfast is normally served in the saloon and lunch is served around the mahogany cockpit table with comfortable seating.

The cockpit is shaded by the bimini cover, with all-round detachable side panels for extra protection from the sun.

Sunbeds are provided and the forward deck has a large awning to offer more shade.

SLYPUSS Crew
Rod and Margaret

Crew Profiles

Rod, your RYA (Royal Yachting Association) qualified captain and his hostess-wife Margaret have considerable sailing experience. Together they have covered several thousand sea miles. They chartered their previous yacht, Nuku II, very successfully for 8 years in Turkey until 1997, when they returned to the UK and ran a Welsh country house hotel for 2 years.

Turkey beckoned them back and aboard Slypuss they can now share the wonderful coastline with their guests — secluded anchorages, pretty harbours, turquoise blue waters, antiquities galore, and the wonderful Turkish people.
