DESCRIPTION
EXPLORER is a classic North Sea Trawler. Her massively constructed wooden hull was built in Norway in 1976. Her aluminum deck-house and rich teak interior cabin work was executed at the Malahide Shipyard in Dublin Ireland. In 1988 she won the silver cup as the best power boat in show at the prestigious Newport Wooden Boat Show. Explorer was featured on the cover of Ocean Navigator magazine in its March/April 1994 issue.

With her stabilizer system, steadying sails and a cruising range of 3,000 miles she is capable of delivering her passengers to any port in remarkable comfort, style and safety. Ocean Navigator called EXPLORER, "a yacht which may embody the dreams of every long-range power voyager."

Captain Richard Friedman, fishing guide, naturalist and photographer. Richard has been going to Alaska in boats since 1971 serving as cook, engineer and captain. Richard has been a charter captain in Northwest waters since 1984. His hospitable nature, wide range of interests and broad maritime experience assure Explorer's guest a fun, safe and interesting charter.
