Sailing the Adriatic - a land for all seasons

SPLIT
Dating from 300 AD, the ancient city of Split took over from Salona as the metropolis of the Roman province of Dalmatia. The medieval town developed out of the Emperor Diocletian's palace, which is recorded as a UNESCO - "monument of universal importance." Other sites to visit include the Peristyle, Jupiter's Temple and Visesllas's Baptistery. The city and marina are close to Split airport and the port is an ideal point to join your Interpac Yacht Charter which is within easy reach of the off lying islands, providing the first part of your cruise.

TROGIR
Stands on the foundations of an ancient Greek settlement on a small island connected to the mainland by bridges. This medieval town is a favorite stop and the fascinating old town offers restaurants, markets and beautiful sights, including the 15th century Trogir chapel and the 13th century portal by the master Radovan. The yacht marina is situated on another small island opposite the old city walls which is an easy walk over a bridge to the old town.

ROGOZNICA
Built on an island, the early village was founded in early 16th century, the island is now connected to the mainland by a causeway, which forms a perfect anchorage in a sheltered landlocked basin with wooded surroundings. Ideal for swimming and water sports or a visit to the small fishing village.

SKRADIN
The voyage to Skradin is possibly one of the most spectacular on the whole coast. After entering the Sibenik channel we pass through the meandering fjord with high cliffs, twisting and turning for 12 miles, until we reach the ancient Roman village of Skradin. We stay here overnight and in the morning you can visit the famous waterfalls in the Krka National Park. We like to stop up on fresh local produce and wines here.

VODICE
This small but attractive port lies at the head of the Sibenik channel and provides an ideal opportunity to visit the shops and sample life ashore before setting off for the comparative quiet and seclusion of the Kornati islands.

KORNATI ARCHIPELAGO
this archipelago, made up of over 100 islands, is the largest in the Mediterranean. The Konati National Park is a spectacular cruising area and great care has been taken to protect this national environment. We will be visiting a number of the islands in this group and know that you will appreciate their rugged beauty.

PISKERA
Situated in the channel between two islands this, small marina offers quiet relaxation surrounded by clear water where we have collected mussels and oysters from the rocks.

DUGI OTOK
Lying to the north of Piskera, Dugi Otok offers numerous anchorages at both the south and north ends of the island. We would expect to spend a couple of days cruising around the island -- perhaps a good place for a BBQ.

LOSINJ
The port of Mali Losinj provides our overnight stop on this large crescent shaped island. An important trading post in the island chain, Losinj has remains dating from the Bronze Age as well as Roman Villas.

VERDUGA/PULA
Returning to the mainland coast we reach the Pula peninsula. Verduga offers a relaxing anchorage for a swim before arriving in our final port of Pula. Overlooking our marina berth in Pula is possibly one of the best preserved Roman Amphitheatres. It dates from around AD 80 having been started in the reign of Emperor Claudius. There are many more remains including the Hercules gate, the arch of the Sergians and the temple to Augustus. The Pula Marina is close to the airport.
