Itinerary Highlights

SAN REMO is less than an hour from the Nice airport and the flower capital of the coast. Before you leave this colorful port, take the time to visit the largest flower market in the world, the casino, some fashionable Italian boutiques and a fine Ligurian restaurant.

La Primavera in San Remo

GENOA, birthplace of Christopher Columbus, is a busy commercial port with a large marina near the center of town. The city offers good food, excellent architecture and a vast number of museums!

PORTOFINO... an unassuming fishing village turned Mecca for luxury yachts. Skinny buildings, painted in dusky shades of peach, rose and lemon with slender shutters stand tall around the piazza. Do not miss breakfast at the Hotel Splendido set in acres of tropical gardens above the port.

RAPALLO is a colorful port in a circular harbor surrounded by steep hills on three sides. Take a cable car to the Sanctuary di Montallergo and walk to Monte Rosa for what is probably the best view ever of the Ligurian Coast.

CINQUE TERRE... from Portofino or Rapallo it is welll worth a side trip to visit the "Five Lands"! Here, five medieval villages and tiny vineyards are tucked into the folds of the vertical hillsides and seem to almost tumble to the sea.
